Making it Happen Rotary StyleThe Rotary Club of Swansboro is recognized throughout Rotary for its ability to raise funds for community projects. When a Rotarian approaches Business People, Friends or Neighbors with a request to support a worthy project, they reach for their wallet and/or checkbook and freely and generously give their support. Citizens of the community know up front what Rotary has done to make a difference in the community for their efforts to make our community a better place to live, work and play.
The front hall is perfect for most functions, which include weddings and receptions. We are thankful for the organizations and individuals that have used the Center and made donations to help with the expense of maintenance and utilities. The Rotary Club holds its weekly meetings in the front hall every Thursday at 1:00 PM unless it is being used for another function. The Club pays the Center for its use and will gladly adjust their meeting place to accommodate other users. Ask any Rotarian and they will proudly tell you that it is a labor of love and indeed a privilege to work on projects that raise that money to help our youths and seniors in the community. This years Rotary International Theme is “Create Awareness, Take Action.” |

The crown jewel of the community is The Rotary Civic Center built with pledges from Rotarians, Businesses, Friends and Neighbors. When funds are available our plans are to increase the parking in the rear of the building, improve the appearance of the large hall in the rear of the building to provide a more formal setting for large functions. The rear hall is great for Oyster roasts, pig pickings, fish fries and many other functions in its present condition.
